“Made in Steel”, the main Conference & Exhibition in southern Europe dedicated to the steel supply chain, held every two years, is an opportunity for steel players, from producers to users, to meet and do business, but also to reflect together on the future of steel. The theme of the eighth edition was “Sustainability and innovation”, the two great priorities for today’s global steel industry, which is grappling with the need to reduce its environmental impact and to renew products and processes in order to remain competitive. These issues are also the focus of many activities of the RICREA Consortium and translate into the research and development of innovative and sustainable packaging with a reduced environmental impact. In the last three editions, RICREA has participated in Made in Steel as a strategic player for the recycling of steel packaging alongside steel mills and scrap processing companies. Born in 2005, Made in Steel has grown steadily in all subsequent years, both in terms of number of exhibitors and attendance. This development required it to move from the Brescia exhibition centre to Milan, fieramilanocity in 2013 and subsequently Rho (fieramilano) in 2015, to increase its international vocation.

Ecomondo [Ecoworld]
“Ecomondo” is the leading trade fair related to the green and circular economy in the Euro-Mediterranean area. This international event, hosted in the innovative Rimini exhibition centre, brings together on a single platform all the sectors of the circular economy, from the recovery of materials and energy to sustainable development. In addition to the institutional presence (with a joint stand with the Conai System Consortia), RICREA is involved in conferences and exhibitions on eco-innovation and the transformation of waste into a resource. For two years, it has hosted the Radio24 radio station in its stand, which broadcasts its programmes during the exhibition, with insights and specials on the world of steel in relation to the green economy.
